I need an upgrade suggestion for 1080p 75 Hz gaming (not planning to upgrade my LG 22MP68VQ monitor anytime soon). Currently gaming on 1050 ti which gives me 45fps max on Ultra settings.

Should I just go for a new 1660 ti (getting Gigabyte OC for $320) or is it worth considering a used GTX 1070 (getting a Zotac Mini dual fan for $224).
The used 1070 has a warranty till Dec 20, 2022.

What do you guys think is a better deal in terms of 1080p 75 Hz performance and also resale value when I eventually upgrade again in a few years?

I'm sorry, I cannot really comment on the resale value of the GTX 1660 Ti.

Buy yes, obviously the GTX 10070 is going to get more dated/obsolete in few years time, so you can buy the 1660 Ti instead, if you are worried about the resale product value.
If the GTX 1070 still has a warranty left till 2022, then grab this GPU now. Once you upgrade in future, you can buy some other powerful GPU.

But just make sure to verify the seller's reputation as well, before buying any used GPUs. How OLD is this card by the way ?

But I'm guessing maybe I would get more on reselling the 1660 ti than the used 1070 which would be even more dated in 2 more years. Your thoughts?

If you trust the seller of the 1070, then it's a great bargain choice.

My take on the resale value of the 1660ti is simple: garbage. It's not a card anyone is actually looking at with any serious thought, so it won't be sought after in a year or two down the line. The 1070 is a great value right now and even new you can make the argument that it's still a solid choice.

Cheers!

Hey, the GTX 1660 Ti is not a bad GPU, to be honest. It's good for 1080p Gaming. :) There are gamers that are interested in buying the 1660 Ti as well.

Don't know why you are calling it garbage though ??

I'd get the 1070 if it's off a site like eBay where it's almost impossible for a seller to scam you. The 1070 is an 8GB card and even at 1080p that'll become more and more important down the line. I was able to keep my 770 a lot longer than I should have because it was the 4GB model. It even outperformed GTX 780s in newer games like Apex legends because of the extra VRAM.
