[SOLVED] GPU Upgrade from ati mobility radeon 4500 series

I'm looking to upgrade a GPU of an older system that currently holds ATI Mobility Radion 4500 series graphics card. My best (and safest) bet would be AMD Firepro M4000, mainly because it has a low TDP and similar sizes. If possible better would be welcome but are not widely spread (expensive) or have a quite high TDP.

First of there isn't a lot of information on the 4500's TDP (anymore), for some kind of reason the number 35W is in my head? So I wouldn't dare to go too high and secondly, the chip of the 4500 series is a bit "crooked", would the cooling system cover it anyway?

AMD Firepro M4000

Note that it's a AIO system, so the card really can't be bigger, better alternatives then the Firepro M4000 seem Firepro M5100 or Quadro M2000M which would support Directx 12 as well.

Any thoughts or advice other than being a new computer. xD

Thanks for your answer already, here some info on the card, I (re)found the tdp as well, which is only 25W tdp. (max temp 55°C)

The machine still works reasonably fast and I'm "already" able to play Rules of Survival on low settings. Eventually I'll give it to my nephews when they are a bit older and the machine would still be running, it would for the Firepro M4000 (35W) mean going from Directx 10 to 11 and with Firepro M5100 (40W)/Quadro M2000M (55W) to Dx 12.

Further I'm not that experienced (at all) and it's a cheap way to get into hardware a bit imo.. on LTT they said GPU compatibilty is in general not that big of an issue. To meet a higher...

I don't believe there's a 4500 card, but a 4500 series which means multiple 45xx cards, ostensibly with different TDPs.

Honestly, this is ancient technology, so old that I would wager that if the current MXM GPU fails to meet your needs, anything that would run on the same hardware would also fail to do so. We're not even talking about an ancient desktop GPU replacement either, but old mobile graphics in an AIO and AIOs are not known for allowing much in the way of hardware upgrades.

In most cases, GPU compatibility is not a big issue. Unfortunately, it can be in yours. Remember, you don't really have a desktop PC, AIOs are essentially rather awkward laptops. So you have an extremely proprietary motherboard that requires MXM GPUs from more than a decade ago.
