Hello, I have HP Z620 with 800 W PSU , 2 * Xeon E5-2660 and GTX 1060 and i am intending to upgrade my GPU to RTX 3070 . I searched a lot about the compatibility and the power needed to ensure that my PSU can handle the 3070 and i found that there is no problem at all . but at the last second, I discovered that the 3070 power cable is either 28 pins OR 18pins + 16pins despite Nvidia edition has only 18pins cable as mentioned on their website .. on the other hand, my PSU has only 2*6pins cable. so what can i do to connect the card without any problem .is using an adaptor ok? because i really dont want to replace my PSU knowing its sufficient and more.

Thanks ,

I would not use that PSU at all with a new RTX 3070. Adapters are a common source of fire with high power GPUs and while this may have been a competent server PSU in its day, the fact that it doesn't have an eight-pin means it's a very old PSU, certainly not something using a modern topology.
