Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU as my GTX970 is getting pretty old.

My current specs are:
CPU: i5 6600 Intel BX80662I56600
GPU: GTX970 Gigabyte N970WF3OC-4GD 4G Windforce
Motherboard: Gigabyte H170-HD3 Intel H170
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 2133 16GB
HDD: WD 3.5" Blue 1TB WD10EZEX
SDD: Intel 535 Seres 240GB SATA3 SSD
PSM: Corsair CX600M
Monitor: ASUS VG258

Budget is about ~AUD$600-800 with a little leeway if there is something worth spending the extra money on.

All help is much appreciated :)

A 3060 would be best bang for the buck if you're gaming at mostly 1080 or 1440 with that PSU. Possibly a 3070 if you're doing 1440 or 4K. An RX 6800 might fit into your budget as well. Again all depends what resolution you're gaming at and if you care about DLSS and ray tracing.

Are prices for 3060 and 3070 good right now?

The 3060ti retails for 400$ to 450$, and the 3070 for about 100$ more, however you may be waiting awhile to actually get them at those prices.

I would upgrade the CPU first if im being honest.
4c/4t isnt really good for 2021 gaming, and will hold any newer card back.
You can keep the ram and the powersupply.
I had something like this in mind:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NPVk68
Only when i upgrade this would i be thinking about a GPU upgrade.
The 5600X retails from $300+ so in america this would set you back around 600$ with shipping

Edit:After i realised you have 2133mhz ram,i would also get something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6jBTwP/gskill-trident-z-rgb-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c18d-16gtzrx which will set you back another 100$
