sorry for emptyish thread i'm trying to get past the spam filter that wont tell me whats wrong with my post

Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Motherboard: Asus X570-PLUS (Wifi)
Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB pro 32GB (2x16) DDR4
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME SSD + 3tb hard drive
Power Supply: Corsair 2018 650W 80+ Gold power supply
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
Case: Thermaltake V200 RGB ATX Mid Tower Case
CPU Cooling: Stock cooler
Monitor: Asus VG278QR 27.0" 1920 x 1080 165 Hz Monitor

Have a budget of 400$ maximum incl shipping. Currently, I'm looking at a RX 9060 XT 16gb as what I want to get but specifically the triple fan version to keep temperatures lower. Is this a good idea, or should I go for something else?
EDIT: Looking for specifically gaming use but some college work on the side
EDIT 2: Trying to include games I play is just getting blocked by the spam filter. WHY?!
EDIT 3: Frostpunk 2 and EVE Online with 3 clients are my main games (the other is blocked by the filter for some reason)

It doesn't really matter what model you buy of the RX 9060 XT 16GB. The 9060 XT uses less power at 160watt than your 5700 XT at 225watt and getting a triple fan model is really just spending extra money for not much gain since the dual fan model performs pretty much exactly the same with slightly higher temperatures. Dual or Triple fan models will output the same amount of heat, it's just spread out more on the triple fan model since it has a larger heatsink. You would likely hit the power limit before the temperature limit becomes a problem.

That all being said, get the model that fits your budget and you like the look of most, whether dual or triple fan.

Yep. The 9060xt is going to be a massive upgrade over your current gpu. I second the idea of grabbing a 5700x and consider selling the 3700x to recoup some cost. Still the 5700xt for that matter.

But 9060xt, picture a gpu like an rtx 3070ti or a 3080 but with 16gb of vram. So it should be a nice update.
