[SOLVED] gpu upgrade on old system

I am replacing my old tv that I use as a moniter and the new one I am thinking of buying is 4K.
My cpu is a i7_6700k and my gpu is a 960 .
Should I go with a 1660 super to avoid bottlenecking or should I get a very good card for when I upgrade the guts of my system in one or 2 years.
Would the bottleneck cause the good card to work less well than the matching one or just limit it to similar performance as it?

Solution
A 1660 Super will not be ideal for gaming at 4K. Even at 1440P the 1660 Super will struggle to maintain 60fps at high settings.

Running a monitor at a lower then native resolution can effect quality as well, although this is heavily monitor to monitor specific.
