GPU Upgrade on tight budget

Hey guys! I want to upgrade my gpu, here's the thing though. I have searched the interwebz for one that fits me and i need some assistance. I won't be playing at 1080p for the moment and i am not so eager to play at ULTRA settings. I am between:

• 
  Gigabyte windforce r7 260x 2gb + a SSD 12Gb (intending to overclock it)
  XFX double dessipation r9 270x 2gb
  Palit geforce gtx 960 2gb

Also i've read that AMD is rolling new Gpu's in about five days or so. Should i wait for them and see their prices and if the older ones drop?

My system right now:
CPU i3 3220
GPU gtx 9600gt
HDD Seagate Baracuda 500Gb
mobo gigabyte ga-b75m-d3h
