GPU Upgrade (Questions)

I found a realy cheap offer for MSI GTX 1060 6gb ocv1. Currently I'm using a 960 Strix 2GB.. So the thing is , that i'm worried if it will be a big upgrade over my current gpu ..

Is the card good? I read that its good for mining, but i will be using it for gaming only..

It will be paired with my current setup:
i7 4790 (non-K)
2x8GB 1600mhz

You will see a good improvement with the 1060 vs the 960 card, it is roughly 50% faster in many games, so 50 fps will go up to 75 fps, or you can go up a notch in quality and not lose any speed.

That is not really correct, every benchmark I have seen shows it about 30% - 70% faster not sure I have seen a game where it's double. It averages out to 50% boost, so 50 fps to 75 not 100. Past 1080 the 1060 6gb wil pull away pretty well, at 1080 it is closer.
