GPU upgrade (r9 280)

Hi,

I'm thinking about upgrading my current GPU which is r9 280 (non-x). Playing at 1080p.

At the moment my choices are between gtx 970 and r9 390. Is it even worth upgrading? I can't decide wether I need this upgrade...I bought witcher 3 recently, and I guess r9 280 wouldn't give me solid 60 fps with ultra graphics. Hence the upgrade.

I can buy Asus Strix 970 for 250 euros and r9 390 for 380euros. Now I'm thinking is r9 390 worth extra 130 euros?

I would just wait for the 1070, its replacing the 970 and giving a lot more performance than either that or the 390.

Launch will be on 10th June I believe.

You are considering a 390 for 380 euros, I suspect it would be around that price and a lot better in performance.

And no, the 390 is not worth 130euros more than the 970.
