Hi, i was aiming for a gpu upgrade but im not sure if my rig can handle an upper mid range gpu.

Specs (CPU-Z link) > https://valid.x86.fr/uwwj71 + Corsair RM750 (non-x) ,
1080p@144 hz gaming only.

1)Keep the system, upgrade gpu
or
2)Upgrade the rest of system first, get the better gpu later?

Thanks for advice.

Edit: Link fixed.

i think 4070 only needs 550 and uses either an 8 pin or a 16 pin, will come with an adapter either way
4070 TI needs 600watt and uses 16 pin.

either way you can run them without replacing anything now.

Some AIB models have 8 pin, some are 16 on the 4070.

7 class? 4070 or a 7000 series from AMD?

if 7700/7800, I don't know as they not out yet

7900 xt needs about 750, you might be able to run one... depends on which model then (AIB tend to want more than the stock AMD ones). Mine suggested 800 for instance.

From what I can tell, Trinity is slightly better but there isn't much in it.

i think main difference is form factor, twin edge is dual fan, Trinity is 3... trinity probably has better cooling
Edge uses an 8 pin - https://www.zotac.com/product/graphics_card/zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-4070-twin-edge#spec
Trinity uses 16 pin - https://www.zotac.com/product/graphics_card/zotac-gaming-geforce-rtx-4070-trinity#spec

There isn't a massive amount achieved by buying a OC 4070, the difference isn't that big between all the models. Unless there is a water cooled one anyway.
