i have a HP pavilion p6 2060a stock
specs:
Motherboard:IPISB-CU (Carmel2)
Processor:Intel Core i5 2310
Memory:4 GB DDR3 1333
Video graphics:NVIDIA GeForce GT 520
Hard drive:1 TB SATA
Power Supply:Internal 300W (100V-240V).

do you think i should buy an AMD R9 270 with these specs, will i need a bigger PSU if i do, or will it bottleneck to bad. I will upgrade the cpu and motherboard all in good time though :)

Solution
Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums!

Yes you can upgrade in steps, and you will definitely need a higher wattage PSU - 500 watts or higher.

Good brands for PSU are Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, Antec, to name a few.

any suggestions tips on this and should i get SLI 270's to save money or go for the 780ti in the hopeful future + will the the HP be able to play b4 at all with the new 270 with decent framerates

With this setup you will be able to play just about anything at high settings.

I have a similar setup but with a GTX 660 Ti - the graphics card you selected is better than what I have and my setup runs games at high settings.

I prefer a single high performance graphics card instead of two in SLI. The one you selected is a very good one!

Good luck!

its just that the 270's will be 1/2 the price but will they run high end games on high mostly bf4 which i desperately want to play and plus if i already have the 270 i buy for the hp i will be saving around 600$
update: and will a single 270 in the hp run battlfield (doesnt have to be in high just decent framerates)
