GPU upgrade worth it?

Hello!

My current rig consists of an i3 6100, 8gb ddr4 ram, and an r7 360 2gb, my friend offered to sell me his 2 year old very good condition r9 380 sapphire nitro oc for a very good price. A new gtx 1050 ti would cost me $200, but he offered his r9 380 for $110. I don't know if this would be a big difference in gaming. I wanted to upgrade for a while and this deal seems to be a steal for the price, but would it be a big jump in gaming performance?

The R9 380 and GTX 1050 TI should perform about the same. The 380 will run more hot though and be more power hungry.

Yes it's worth unless your PSU isn't going to be able to pull the amount of power needed.

a 380 requires a good 550w power supply with the proper pcie cables


a gtx 1050 ti should run on your current setup without change ( as long as it is a version that does not require a 6-pin)
