GPU Upgrade worth it

Hi all,i have been wanting to upgrade my rig for some time now but with things the way there are,money is tight,so i was just going to upgrade my GPU to a DX11 card,may be a 6970. I currently have a Phenome 9950 BE @3Ghz 8gig of OCZ 1066 ram and two 1 gig 4870 in CF. If i where to upgrade the card would the rest of my rig bottle neck it. I want to play Dirt3,F1 2011 and BBC3 when it comes out in DX11. Any feed back would be greatly appriciated.

Yeah you will have issues. I have heard talk from people that the CPU bottleneck for B3 is anything less than a i5 2500 , with the current AMD quad chips forcing people to reduce their settings to Medium to turn down the physics. Your current GPU Config can probably run that anyway.

So if i brought a Phenome II,say a 980 BE combinded with a 6970, i would have to run settings on medium for BC3.

No. I have a 955 BE and a 5770 CF with a 5750 and run the game on max everything with no problems. You should not have a problem with a 980 at all.
