Here is my config:
i5 4670k
GTX 960 2 GB
8GB corsair vengeance
GS 600 corsair PSU
Asus Z-87K (Crossfire only)
Benq 2411T
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.
I am looking to upgrade my current GPU. Looking in about the $200-$250 range

GTX 1660 Super is about that price. Nothing really else competitive in that range. RX5700 is $300, RX580/RX590 is under $200, typically.

I think GTX 1660 Super is pretty good for 1080p gaming. Which brand should I go for?

Not really a brand preference. Comes down to how much room you have and what you are willing to pay for.

I'm partial to EVGA myself. SC Ultra Gaming looks pretty good, if you have the room for it. Various Mini cards on offer. A few that are clocked a little higher, but you can handle that with a quick change to the boost offset, or just let normal boost handle it.
