[SOLVED] gpu usage 0% problem with 1080ti

my gpu usage will drop 0% and i get lag in menu and the game on gta v

cpu : intel corei7 7700k ram: gskill tridntz 3200 2x8gb motherboard: strix
z270f gaming graphic: zotac 1080ti amp editon power:antec HCG 750M cpu liquid
cooler : antec h600pro hdd: WD Blue 1 TB

Is the monitor cable actually connected to the graphics card? If not, you're playing with your CPU's integrated graphics.

make sure xmp is on for your memory(settings is in the bios)

also, do you have a ssd? gta5 is quite big, and if the game is trying to load texture from hdd to ram/graphics card, it's going to take some time, and hence the lag.

run some kind of monitor tool such as msi afterburner, see if you have lots of disk activity when gpu usage drops.

my xmp is on and also i don't have ssd but i don't think so that causes the problem cause i didn't have this problem before
