GPU Usage and Temperature

I recently noticed my GPU temperature has been on 45 to 47 degrees Celsius when idle. I tried cleaning my graphics card but still no hope, it may not be high but this is occurring even when it is on idle. I have included a picture of the readings and i not completely sure what the yellow line represents. If anyone can help me with this i would appreciate it.

Depending on the make (MSI, EVGA, ASUS, Gigabyte, etc.) Try a different monitoring program like Afterburner or Precision X. After that check again. If you're still seeing the same idle temp get HWmonitor and check your ambient system temps. If you have high case temps this might be why you're seeing high idle temps.

I tried X Precision and it showed the same temperature, but the thing i'm not really sure is what is the yellow line on the graph?

On Precision it shows the GPU clock is at 1110 out of 1500 and Memory Clock at 3506 out of 5000. As same as before this is on idle.

I don't think the temperature is a problem, just a result of it not being at idle or not idling down. I would check "resource monitor" under system tools and see if something is running that shouldn't be and also you could try reinstalling the drivers.

I agree with bccorrupt, it seems that your GPU is not idling down. Run a good anti-virus like Malwarebytes to be sure nothing is high-jacking your GPU in the background (don't know if anything would be good enough to still use the GPU and force a report of 0% use but it's better to be safe)
Check your temps under load (with a stress test like Valley or in-game) as long as temps stay below 70C you are fine.

Have you used HWMonitor to check your ambient case temps? Do you know what the ambient temps in the room are?

If you're interested in a program that can display usage graphs like GPU Meter try GPU-Z (more reports and good accuracy)
