A couple months ago I upgraded my PC and ever since then I've been having problems with my setup I have taken my PC to centre com which is a PC store chain in Australia and they said nothing was wrong and said my parts were not faulty most of the games I play will play fine then all of a sudden the fps will drop for half a second and stutter/hitch/fps drop (don't know what to call it) I have put the power plan on high performance have not overclocked the GPU ran a CPU test it said there was no faults, furmark and valley benchmark did the stutter thing tried turning off speedstep didn't work, tried ddu multiple times didnt fix the problem, turned off paging folder made it so the HDD doesn't turn off in the Power settings, turned down graphics didn't work, scanned for viruses and malware cleaned out temp and used ccleaner. Some games run perfectly fine like Wolfenstein the new order/ old blood all maxed out sniper elite 4 maxed out fine shadow of Mordor maxed, Overwatch maxed fine but sometimes does it, mad Max maxed fine ,Dark souls 3 fine but games like Bf1,Bf4,pubg,hitman 2016 where it is really noticeable, ghost recon woodlands, fallout 4 even quake Live does it lol. Most of my games are installed on HDD due to 120gb I was gonna buy a better SSD just for games but don't wanna waste money :/. My specs are: Gigabyte Xtreme gaming GTX 1070 rev 1.0, Intel i7 6700 ,MSI Z170A Gaming M3 Motherboard,Hyper X fury 16gb 2400Mhz and the stuff that is from my old setup which is:Kingston hyper X SSD 120gb, Seagate 7200rpm 1tb, Cooler master storm enforcer case and a 600w 80+bronze psu not sure about the brand ever CoolerMaster or EVGA (pre sure it's EVGA), BenQ gsync monitor from 2015 (which the gsync is broken for me I can't turn it off and it doesn't work in full screen exclusive thought it could be the monitor as well but it probably isnt) Windows 10 64bit my GPU hardly goes over 50 degrees under heavy load and my CPU usally runs under 50 degrees while gaming and it has a custom cooler on it thanks for reading.
