Before I start here are my PC specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 1600x
CPU Cooler: Cooler master hyper 212 EVO
GPU: ASUS GeForce DUAL-GTX1070-O8G OC
Memory: 2 x 4gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666 MHz
Motherboard: Asus Prime b350-plus
Hard drive: WD Blue 1TB
PSU: Corsair TX-M 650
In games like Gta 5 and Destiny 2 my GPU usage is randomly dropping and subsequently causing massive frame drops from a stable 80-90 fps down to 0-5 fps. I have noticed that my disk usage has been 100% whilst running these games however it is at 100% the whole time, not just when the GPU usage drops. The memory usage is also always around 94% however once again it stays at that usage the whole time. I have my Nvidia power settings on prefer maximum performance and my windows power settings are on high performance. I have also installed the most up to date graphics drivers and updated my bios in the last week. Finally my GPU temps also sit below 60 degrees (Celsius). Sorry for the wall of text, I just wanted to give as much information as possible. Any help would be appreciated!
