GPU Usage Spikes?

I was using my ASUS GTX 770 OC edition on furmark but i kept getting frame drops i noticed it was my GPU usage was dropping cause the frames to drop to 40 frames when it hits a spike. The Max temperature was 73 degrees so i don't think its the card itself. I dont quite know what could be causing the bottle neck, i have 8gb of kingston 1600mhz RAM, intel i5 3470 and a CX750w PSU.

Try forcing the fans to be a higher speed while you run the benchmark. That sounds a lot like it's throttling itself. You could also try underclocking it a little bit to see if that helps.

It shouldn't throttle the graphics card is only supposed to throttle its self when it reaches 95 degrees. It only reaches a max temperature of 74 degrees in Furmark. I really am bewildered to why this is happening, I have fully updated drivers. I might try another program.
