GPU useage at 33%, but nothing using it...

I've recently noticed some performance slowdown of my computer. When looking at the resource monitor, svchost was using between 13-30% of my CPU for no apparent reason. My graphics card is also running at 33% power continuously, but I have no programs open which would be using GPU resources to that extent. I have run scans with both AVG and Avast, but everything is coming up clean. Any ideas?

I feel like it may be some kind of malware or hidden crypto miner, but can't find anything of the sort. Its caused streaming videos to become laggy as well on occasion.

System info:
AMD FX-8370 CPU
EVGA GTX970SSC
16GB RAM
Samsung 850 EVO SSD

Solution
GPU 'power' may be an estimated 'watts consumed' functionality based on current core/mem voltage applied with current GPU clock speeds internally, and not necessarily a function of how 'busy' the GPU is or is not with an application...

Unless you are sure it used to be drastically different/lower numbers a week ago, etc....

Microsoft/SYsInternals has ProcessExplorer which will allow you to check signatures/VirusTotal hits/file origination points on all running tasks...
