Hey I bought a gtx 1080 with a terrible cooler it reaches 80 degrees c max and it annoys me so I may replace the terrible cooler with the EVGA HYBRID water cooling block for £100 Is there any implications/problems apart from me voiding my warranty for e.g does my current card have a different board or screw location to the normal founders edition cards

The EVGA ACX SC and FTW cards (1070 / 1080) have a deficient design in which there is not adequate cooling for the PCB components. They are offering a kit to card owners whereby you can take disassemble the card and install a thermal pad which corrects this issue. The hybrid cards don't really address this issue as the hybrid doesn't cool the VRM and memory just the GPU itself. A real full cover water block cools GPU, VRM and memory

Here's one for $125 which with current exchange rates, should be about 99.3477 GBP

However, you need to pick the right block for the right card.

Use the drop downs here.

Which card do you have, specifically ?

Ok but i wanted the block as a all in one i don't have a custom loop but i have an all in one for my cpu

I can't think of a reason to use a CLC on a CPU or GPU and many reasons not to .... for every all-in-one CLC there's a cheaper air cooler that performs better, is less noise and is substantially cheaper. That being said, there are all in one's that do cool better and allow you to connect a water bock.

The Swiftech H220 X2 is an "open" all-in-one to which you can connect any standard full cover water block. If not comfy assembling a water block on a card, you can by them pre-assembled. When peeps felle challenged by a custom loop, I recommend this combo:

MSI GTX 1080 Seahawk EK w/ real EK manufactured full cover block that cools GPU, VRM and Memory

Swiftech H240 X2 All-In-One water cooling system

You do have to buy an extra 30" of tubing, and two fittings for the block and another bottle of coolant ... but adding the Seahawk to the H240 X2 takes about 12 minutes.

However, I should have mentioned... we really don't know the cause of the problem.

What case ?
What card model (specific model) ?
How many and what model fans ?

Unless it's a reference, FE, EVGA SC or EVGA FTW w/ ACX cooler, there shouldn't be a problem here.

first of all my 240 mm space in my nzxt s340 is taken up by a h100iv2 rad and i dont the specifics of the card it has 2 its a twin card
