Hey guys.

So I'm building a system and will be using an MSI GTX 970 GPU and I am thinking about water-cooling it with the NZXT G10 bracket.

Will this fit the card?

And will this void the warranty? Cause I am kinda paranoid about that, since my last GPU broke and the warranty was void.

If you install water cooling correctly it's all fine, also the fluids should not damage your components if it leaks but you do need to refresh the fluids from time to time. Also I would recommend you to add measurements for the gpu and send a link of the cooler. Notice that liquid cooling is mainly used for CPU's and not common for GPU's.

The G10 bracket only accepts PRE FILLED CLOSED LOOP Asetek based coolers. Therefore, fluid leaks and changes are not an issue or concern.

The G10 will fit the reference design 970 GPU (not sure if your Msi is reference design) according to their official spec sheet http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/138-kraken-g10-gpu-bracket.html.

You will void your original GPU's warranty if you take off the screw with the small covering sticker on it. Most cards have this sticker on one of the screws for the cooler which you have to take off to be able to install the G10. If you are lucky, your card will allow you take off the OEM cooler and keep the warranty as long as you don't touch the main chip.

However, this is very unlikely and with 9/10 cards it will void their warranty. Best to check with Msi regarding this, quoting your serial number.
