after answering a few questions here and there it's my turn to ask something.
Recently I got a GTX 770 and was thinking to get it water cooled only to realize that water cooler prices are insanely high in my opinion.
A water block only costs about £90 and I would also need the rest of the kit to make it run so inevitably in my head comes the question - what sane person would spend this type of money on water cooling their GPU?
What I mean is - I understand with better cooling I can get higher overclock and let's say I that in my particular case I would be able to hypothetically match the performance of my GTX 770 a GTX 780.
Overclock in general is the idea of getting more performance of your components for the price you paid. But for the added price of water cooling my GTX 770 plus the price I paid for the card itself I could just buy a GTX 780 instead... so what's the point?
