Hello,
So I have a problems with my laptop recently. It can be hard to explain but I will try my best.
first my laptop is:
Acer predator PH31753
specs are here:
Support | Acer United States
in short:
Windows 10
16GB of ram
I7-9750H
RTX 2070 with max Q design
now to the problem:
Problem is that when my dedicated GPU get more then 40% of the power it will crash and cant be used anymore it will lead to the BSOD eventually and to the Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. and to event id The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
the strange thing is that if I unplug the charger and the GPU is set to take max 40% of power it never happens. or if I set manually through some software to the max power of GPU 40% it will go fine but of course the FPS is very low.
The one last thing that I notice is in the exact moment of crash this is what task manager shows for the dedicated GPU and the integrated gpu:

it look like they just sudenly switch which one is handling the process but it leads to crash. I have absolutely no idea how to handle this problem I was hoping for help this laptop costs me 2k back in 2019 and now my only option is just to buy a new PC. I tried almost everything.
-upgrade and replace rams
-apply new thermal paste and clean everything ( i dropped the temps but no luck I have like 70°C most)
-switch the SSD
-use DDU and install nvidia drives on fresh I tried almost every driver that advanced search on nvidia offers even old ones.
-use restore through restoration point to the point where this not happens (didnt help)
-reinstall windows (not helped)
-factory reset (no luck too)
-almost everything that I can googled like setting highest power usage and stuff like this (didn't help)
I dont know what else could help me. Can it be faulty GPU and this laptop just gave up after 3 years ? that would be ridiculous.
is it just some faulty drivers ? and I cant use new drivers and need to use the ones that offers my acer provider they are from 2019 and cant be even isntalled dont know why.
is it some problem with powering the GPU ?
Please if somebody can just try and help me It would be very nice.
Thanks
