Hi everyone,

I'm extremely new to building but a quick Google search showed y'all are very knowledgeable. I have a CyberpowerPC rig with a 6+2 pin RX560 and I tried to upgrade to a RX 590.

However, it appears that I need to modify my power cable to add an extra 6 pins. Could I post my computer specs and have someone tell me how to best accomplish this?

I searched other posts but my impression is that it's a case by case basis. Specs on my machine are below:

No, it is that you need a NEW power supply to work with your new hardware.

I suggest that you don't use adapters and purchase a good quality supply with the proper connectors.

When you use adapters...you can run into problems like voltage drop and conductors heating up etc. and if you have to use an adapter....the power supply wasn't designed for the purpose you are using it for.

Thanks everyone for the quick reply. The exact model is SP-600AH2NCG. It's a Smart600W.

Which one do you recommend I get to replace this? And while I'm at it, is there anything else I can get (in addition to the rx590) that would speed up my computer for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Everyone! Just following up to see if you had any recommendations on how to make my PC faster, along with a rx590 I have, and which power module is the best for replacement.

Thanks again,
Andrew
