Hey guys, I recently purchased a Z97-a ASUS, an i5 4690k, corsair cc 750 psu, and a EVGA gtx 970 Acx 2.0 Sc and 8gb of 1600 MHz of Kingston Hyper-x ram. I have it all hooked up and everything seems to be running fine inside. The problem being that my monitor isn't displaying anything with the DVI-D and the VGA converter. My monitor is ACER and is 1080p 60 to my knowledge. I don't think the problem is my GPU since I took my old card (760 which worked fine with my old setup) and it also wouldn't display. Any help/recommendations would be appreciated but keep in mind I'm no computer wiz haha. If I can't find a solution hopefully my computer engineer of an uncle will but I would like my computer running for college work. Thanks!

Did that and got the same thing. Update your bios if you havnt already.

if it is the ram memtest86 it, can you display without the gpu, so that you are sure it is it.
What I would do:
update all drivers
Check Bios settings are correct
take out the gpu then launch.

Post me back and we can discuss more

I know this is off topic but this could be the cause maybe? I'm not sure if my ram is compatible with my ASUS Z97-A or not. It's a Kingston Hyper-x (2x4gb) 1600 HX316C10FBK2/8 on the back. It doesn't match anything in the manual but I'm still confused.

Hey Guys here is an update. I replaced my motherboard with a gigabyte z97x gaming 3 and got new ram that is a g skills rip jaw 2x4gb and 1600mhz. I finally got the motherboard to boot to bios and I'm on my home desktop screen using the graphics card. My problem is that the motherboard will only boot to bios on the monitor with one stick of my ram in the 3rd slot farthest from the processor and I've tried both sticks of my ram in the slot and they both work. Any suggestions?
