Hi New GPU for new build wont fit Part Picker confirmed it was compatible

Motherboard Asrock B450 Pro4
GPU Gigabyte GEFORCE GTX 1060

The PCIE slot is shorter in length

Is it a case of return and what alternative GPU would people recommend

Thanks

No. It is not. Which PCI-E slot did you actually check ? The card will easily fit on that MOBO. Or, are you talking about the size of your ATX cabinet ? Anyways, that board is having full length slots. Check the primary PCI-e slot closest from the CPU.

AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Matisse, Summit Ridge and Pinnacle Ridge)
- 2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slots (PCIE2: x16 mode; PCIE4: x4 mode)*
AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Picasso, Raven Ridge)
- 2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slots (PCIE2: x8 mode; PCIE4: x4 mode)*
AMD Athlon series CPUs
- 2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slots (PCIE2: x4 mode; PCIE4: x2 mode)*.

  • 4 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 Slots
  • Supports AMD Quad CrossFireX™ and CrossFireX™**
