Hey everyone, I just finished helping my brother build his first PC but we've run into an issue.

BUILD:

Asus Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB ROG STRIX GAMING OC

MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI LGA 1200 Intel Z490 SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel Motherboard

Seasonic FOCUS GX-650, 650W 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX

CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 DRAM DDR4 3200

SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.3 V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 250GB PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.3 V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Intel Core i7-10700K Comet Lake 8-Core 3.8 GHz LGA 1200 125W Desktop Processor w/ Intel UHD Graphics 630

Refurbished: CORSAIR Hydro Series, H100i RGB PLATINUM, 240mm

Corsair 4000D Airflow CC-9011200-WW Black Steel / Plastic / Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit

After we got everything setup the computer wouldn't start, no LED's or indicator lights were on, except for the GPU, after reseating the RAM and unplugging the GPU from the PSU it booted and we were able to get windows installed from a USB using the integrated graphics on his CPU. At first I thought it was the RAM not being seated properly even though I knew that I had originally seated it 100% correctly, but when I plugged the GPU back into the PSU my system would no longer boot.... Well I messed with how the cables were setup and eventually got it to the point where now the system will boot with the GPU plugged in but nothing displays on the monitor. Currently I have one cord plugged into the PSU that then has a 2 headed end where both ends plug into the GPU (before I was using two separate cables and just leaving each one of the double ends plugged into nothing).

Any guess on what the issue might be? Having trouble installing the GPU drivers since AMD is not recognizing the card. I feel like it's something simple I'm just missing.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Tried to update your motherboard bios to the latest? After that run the pc using the igpu and set the pcie gen to Gen 3 (or PCIE 3.0), and save the bios settings, then try to plug the gpu with propper.
