GPU-Z not showing temps, not showing fan speed, not showing coreclock

just bought my sapphire rx580 8gb graphics card

i installed the drivers fine....

when i go to gpu z it barely tells me anything at all... please help me im freaking out...

i installed the drivers on the sapphire website AND the actual amd website...

Why resort to 3rd party software when AMD's software that installs alongside the drivers tell you things like temperature and fan speed, and allows you to control it?

What version of GPU-Z are you using? Perhaps you have an old version that doesn't support your new card?

i just downloaded the latest version right from their website

Check out the Wattman section. It's got the graph that lists out temperatures, core speed, memory speed, fan speed, and the controls that allow you to modify the way your card is operating.

I would uninstall the GPU-Z. And then reinstall the application. Also you can adjust which sensors to use in the GPU-Z settings.

i tried reinstalling gpu-z and setting sensors to Fahrenheit but the issue still persists ... same thing =/

Try AMD's software that installs with the drivers before you decide there is something wrong with the card.

GPU-Z doesn't necessarily require installation. It has a simple, stand-alone version available as a zip file which you can simply run after extracting the zip file.

i reinstalled the drivers using the cd the gpu came with.

and now the temps and core clock is there

but shaders and bandwidth is still missing

at least i have temps right.... i might update it from there i just hope it doesnt go back to the same

Graphics drivers should be downloaded directly from the website of the company that designed the graphics chip on your card, in this case AMD. Drivers that you receive in the box that you purchased your graphics card in are likely months or more old, which can actually cause issues with current games. The only time I would ever install drivers off of the media that came with my device is when I don't have proper access to current drivers from the website run by the maker of the device.

Here is the AMD graphics driver website. Donload and install it directly from that site. Avoid using the Windows drivers (they are crap).
