I was thinking about getting a 970 sli for that resolution but I'm not sure as I keep on thinking about a 980ti. What would be the best? I would be playing new game titles and I would like a smooth experience 60fps average on high-ish details. Thanks

GTX 980 will do exactly what you want in 1440P and more.

If you are willing to spend more the GTX 980 Ti will give outstanding performance in 1440P.
