So gpuz program shows that my GPU is running at x16 which is good. It says at pci express 2.0 instead of 3.0 though. I have a evga gtx 980 that supports 3.0 and a motherboard (x99 a 2) that supports it too. It's installed in the first slot so it should be at 3.0 but gpuz says otherwise. I know it doesn't make a difference but it's bothering me why it's not reading 3.0. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

This is common when the GPU is not in heavy demand. GPU-Z will actually show, at times PCI-e 1.1 when the GPU is in an energy efficient state. There is nothing to worry about. If you look through the reading material for GPU-Z it will tell you this.
