Grafics card wont show up

So i just installed a gtx 1050 in a asus h61m-e motherboard and when i turn on the computer i conect the monitor to the dvi-d slot and the monitor wont detect the computer and when i plus it in at the motherboard it shows up but i see the monitor adapters and only the intel hd graphics show up. I open up the computer and the fan from the gtx 1050 is working. Help please. I tried to usea my other video card, a gt 210 but wont work either. It all started hapening after i switched the cpu from a intel pentium to a core i3-3220. Anyone explain please
