Grafics Card works at first, but then it stops working

Yesterday I unpluged my GPU, because it was running a bit hot, so I bought a new stock cooler named "Arctic Accelero Xtreme iii". After I plugged it in again, It loads my Windows 8, but right before I come to Login Screen, then the screen goes black. The computer worked fine fore I changed the cooler, I think its something with my Graphic Card, but it does work at first.
Does anyone know a solution for this problem?

Try booting into SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING (Restart your PC and keep pressing F8 key until you get a list) and see if it works..

ok im pretty sure it overheated or went into a safe mode to prevent overheating you have not put the cooler on propally go over what you did ( i know your a noobie since you said i bought a new stock cooler names arctic accelero xtreme iii ) that cooler is not a stock cooler it is a custom cooler and that means that you have vided your warrenty . so make sure 1st that you have applied thermal paste (meaning take off the old paste and apply new paste) also make sure you screwed it propally , then there is another issue i get with noobs they dont plug in the pci power.

also make sure you have plugged in the fans for the gpu into the gpu board

I bought it used, so I just wanted to test it without thermal paste, so maybe that's why.

yea its set its self off because of high tempretures so it may still work for the love of god please dont try a gpu or cpu for that mater without thermal paste
