At end of turn, the Wargear doesn't do anything special; the Sandstalker's
"return me to your hand" triggered ability triggers. When that ability
resolves, the Sandstalker moves from in-play to your hand; that triggers the
Wargear ability, because it becomes unattached when the VS disappears out from
under it. Later that step, the Wargear ability resolves ... and can't find the
VS in play anywhere. It tells you to sacrifice equipped creature, but can't
find the creature that it's currently equipped to or that it remembers as
being the last one equipped under it ... so Does Nothing. (You can't
"sacrifice a card in your hand", since only permanents, in play, can be
sacrificed.)
So the VS goes to your hand, leaving the Wargear in play; later the Wargear
ability resolves and Does Nothing.
