Help required please.
I picked up a cheap desktop unit last week, as FM17 would not run on my Dell laptop(about 8 years old). Spec on desktop was as follows:-
500 w psu
Core 2 CPU (2.2ghz)
8Gig DDR3 RAM
75 GB HDD
Gigabyte G41MT SP2 775 m/board
Radeon HD2400 card
Win 10
There is nothing on the machine apart from the game and Netgear

Swapped out the CPU for Core2 quad which has speeded the game up a little.
What compatible graphics card should I upgrade to, bearing in mind I don't want to spend too much as I may as well of bought a better machine?

Solution

If you find a used 750 or 750 ti, then find one that doesnt need any power connectors (most didnt).
Ok i looked up some GPUs and i would say ( for your budget of 40 ) buy something from the GT series . They are not meant for gaming ..... but the GT 610 that i owned when i first had my pc did me a good job in games like LoL and CSGO , on lowest settings but it works ... And it doesnt retail any higher than atleast 40-60 bucks ... . But , if youre lucky look on ebay and try find a GTX 500-750 ? For that price ... . I hope thats helpfull and please make sure ur PSU supports the GPU 6 pin connectors ...

You actually get them for free with your Graphics Card ( Atleast AMD does that , idk about NVIDIA ) . These adapters come in with your GPU when u buy a Fresh New One or if youre lucky someone to sell you it with the Adapters:heink:
