[quotemsg=19951671,0,2512356]Not everyone can afford a 500$ racing wheel buddy and some like me prefer a controller[/quotemsg]
I'm not talking about not being able to afford a wheel. I'm talking about PC racing sims vs. more arcade based racers, which both the Forza and Gran Turismo series are. Polyphony sold the GT series as a "real racing simulator" (their words) which it is certainly not compared to real racing sims out there. Go out there in the real world and try and drive a car around a road course with a specially set up controller in your hands vs. a traditional wheel and pedals and see which variant you get better times out of. I know the answer.
Want proof? The whiners who bought Project Cars and especially Assetto Corsa who had controllers and complained about crappy handling/controlling. That's my beef. If you want a real racing sim, you have to pay for it. That's just a fact. Yes, I'm a sim wheel/pedal snob. Been one since the early '00s.
