'Gran Turismo Sport' Arrives October 17 On PS4, PSVR

For a "real driving simulation experience" as Polyphony claimed, both GT5 and GT6 were disappointments when it came to realistic handling of cars and sounds. This is why I was so glad to see Project Cars, Assetto Corsa, and DiRT Rally go to the PS4. That's how handling (and visuals) are done boys. Most of the cars felt exactly the same with the only difference being two-dimensional speed and turning capabilities (and even the sound was similar).

The only good thing out of them was the online gameplay was fun and the weekly challenges were fun. When one can play a racing game with a hand-held controller better than a steering wheel, it's not a real driving simulation experience.

I guess this will be the first and last GT game for PS4 which is pretty ridiculous. People are talking about PS5 coming in between 2018-19....

1 GT game "probably" in one generation and it is not even a launch title!! What a joke.

I'm not talking about not being able to afford a wheel. I'm talking about PC racing sims vs. more arcade based racers, which both the Forza and Gran Turismo series are. Polyphony sold the GT series as a "real racing simulator" (their words) which it is certainly not compared to real racing sims out there. Go out there in the real world and try and drive a car around a road course with a specially set up controller in your hands vs. a traditional wheel and pedals and see which variant you get better times out of. I know the answer.

Want proof? The whiners who bought Project Cars and especially Assetto Corsa who had controllers and complained about crappy handling/controlling. That's my beef. If you want a real racing sim, you have to pay for it. That's just a fact. Yes, I'm a sim wheel/pedal snob. Been one since the early '00s.

If you guys want sim racing control on a gamepad, turn on motion sensor turning. People still don't know about this is what surprises me. Just explore the settings?
