Grand Theft Auto 5 VRAM

So I have a 2GB video card and I was wondering if it would be ok for me to go over the VRAM limit on GTA 5 by like 100MB.

My system config is
CPU: AMD FX-6350
GPU: AMD R9-270 (Overclocked so it performs like a 270x)
RAM: 12GB

Not sure what you mean. Any game will utilize the VRAM of a graphics card until there is no more available. When that happens, Windows will allocate system memory automatically as virtual video memory.

The settings in gta v say vram usage but this is just more of a guide. I have it set way over my 1gb and it does fine.

Try it and see what happens. If it stutters, back some settings off.

GTA 5 graphics settings has a bar that shows how much of the VRAM would be used with the graphics setting you are using. So I'm asking would their be any great adverse affects on like my GPU if I kept my settings above the VRAM.
