Grand Theft Auto V fps problems

Hi guys,
I've just bought GTA V on steam yesterday, and I've been messing around with the settings and no matter what they are wether they are maxed out or on the , with msaa completely off, I get 30-40 fps?

I have all the latest drivers for my 7970, there is no bottleneck at all either so I'm not sure what it is?

Perhaps its just a problem with the game , you should try patching.

btw , you tried running any of the latest games (watch dogs) or something

I've tried watchdogs but that has a similar problem but it was never optimised very well, I play other games like bioshock infinite, which runs incredibly smooth, dying light, assassins creed blackflag they all run fine

I'm on the 15.4 beta drivers but I heard there's still problems with 7970/r9 280x's

if you ran watchdogs well then it's probably a problem with the game .

if you have a stock amd processor then that is the reason.

I have an amd processor, FX 8350, stable overclocked to 4.5ghz
12gb ddr3 1600 ram
500gb hdd
asus dcu2 7970

this pc is fine in absolutely any other game
