Hi I built an amd apu system and it seems like my benchmarks are very lacking in scores. First of all my build is

cpu/gpu: AMD A10 7850k
mb: ASUS a88x Pro
memory: 2x 8gb of Kingston Hyper X (black)
ssd/hdd: Samsung 120gb ssd EVO, and 1tb Seagate HDD
psu: Corsair 430cx
os: Windows 8.1

note: I am running the stock cpu cooler

Well pretty much my 3Dmark Firestrike score is a mere 800 with very few people in the same category as me, and it shows that most people with the 7850k are getting around 1600. Also my heaven benchmark is about 11 fps. I also have my bios and drivers updated. Im just a bit frustrated that I can't get the full juice my apu should be providing. If someone can please help me i'd be very thankful.

I figured it out. I guess maybe im just a total noob but on this motherboard you need to install the ram sticks dual channel in both the same color, instead of installing them side by side. Although I was taught different for other motherboards.
Have you maybe though the guys who are getting 1600 have a better cooler/overclocked their cpu?Maybe your cpu is throttling back due to high temperatures.Check your temperatures during firestrike and if it exceeds 62c it throttles itself hence lower gpu output

i was wondering if overclocking was the case, but checking the results it shows people who have less ram and cpu speeds than mine because i also tried overclocking, but i put my settings back to default for now. I did consider that it might be my cpu fan not being able to put up with the benchmark testing. but i'll have to find a good program to navigate it because if i alt tab out of the benchmark it quits. thanks for the info i'll try to find out if it reaches 62c

They don't have discrete graphics cards on them i checked. and ive also seen others reviews on the scores aswell scoring around 1600. i'll try the windows power options thing for now to see if i can find anything.

I tried increasing my power options to performance and i tried running firestrike and it was performing like 1fps better but then crashed my pc into a screen of purple/green/blue colors. I was stupid enough to turn it back on and try one more time and it happened again. Then i turned on the pc right after and went to hw monitor. gpu was as high as 73c and cpu 69c at max. I am assuming a better cpu cooling is the main culprit? what do you guys think?

FYI, i was running phenom ii x4 970 @3,5ghz with stock cooling HSF provided when you bought it. It sounds like vacuum cleaner (7000+rpm) when playing Battlefield™3 Mp (temp was high as 72°C).
but then i bought 3rd party HSF which is CM Hyper 212X (with its stock thermal paste), sounds mild bit rough @2000-/+rpm BUT the good thing is it BARELY NOT HOTTER THAN 55°C.

so, i'd recommend CM Hyper 212X for 3rd party best budget HSF.

73 C is high for load and very high after a restart. CPU temps drop very fast after a restart. My Video stays below 60 C on constant load.
Check your bios for CPU fan settings and try to raise fan speed from there.
Or try installing Asus Fan expert and tuning the fan - see this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcUz0SjBKGY
If the stock fan could not handle it - hyper 212 EVO is a nice fan BUT it does not fit in all cases - I had to use its "smaller brother" TX3 EVO.
What is your case BTW, good case ventilation also helps to keep the temps down.
