Graphic card advice needed

I am looking to buy a new graphic card and hoped you all could lend some advice. The purchase will be of either a Geforce 5600 Ultra or Radeon 9600 Pro. I've scanned the benchmarks and see that the 9600 Pro outperform the 5600 Ultra in almost all areas but now I would like to get some feedback from some individuals that have used either of the two cards. Performance, quality, compatibility, etc... is what I'm interested in hearing about. In advance, thanks to anyone who takes the time to reply.
Note: I just found ATI 9600 Pro online for $129. Guess that is the way to go.

If you replace that FX 5600 Ultra with an FX 5700 Ultra, then you would have a neck and neck competition between the 5700 and the 9600 Pro/XT, and it would be a matter of what programs or games you use.

With the current comparision using an FX 5600 Ultra vs. a Radeon 9600 Pro, there is really no competition, as the 9600 will win.

A word of warning-i have already come across one 5700 Ultra which was cheaper than a 9600 pro but that was because it was crippled by s**tty 5ns TSOP memory.There should be a law against this sort of thing!
