Hi, I got this 5850 Xtreme and I don't know if it's broken or something. Let's explain:

I have run a couple of tests like 3DMark, 3DMark 2011 and Unigine and all of them were fine, no artifacts and a nice temp (61º avg) but then I've run MSI Kombustor and here is the problem:

There is a problem with "KMark (PhysX) >>> KMark OpenGL 4 and PhysX benchmark <<<" test, when I run it a vertical yellow lines appears during all test and I thought they were artifacts but that have no sense since rest of Kombustor's test were fine.

Can someone help me with that? Is my card broken?

Some info:

PC: i3-4130 3,40ghz, 5850 Xtreme, Asrock h81m, 4GBs, Thermaltake 450w

Temps:
3DMark/2011: 59-60º avg
Unigine Heaven (all settings high less tesselation): 59º
MSI Kombustor GC OC Test (GL4)/GPU Burn-in (DX11): 70º max. 67º avg

Greetings and I hope someone can help me!

Solution
No, I meant don't use Kombuster or whatever it is. That seems like a gpu frier along with other tests like furmark. Use 3dmark still. My personal favorites are unigene heaven and valley.

A lot of those benchmark tests kill GPU's stop running it, and stop worrying about it. If you're not experiencing problems anywhere else, don't worry about.

I ran all these benchmarks because Far Cry 3 give me some issues (some weird squared shadows in the ground) but... if its inly one quest and Kombuster its a Killer GPU I think I shoudn't worry about it...

Try a different shadow effect (ie ssao or hdao) maybe? I'm not quite sure what you mean by squared shadows.

That's why I thought mainly but then I decided to run some tests and I've worried so I decided to post there my worries... but now I see.. I read the answer of the mate and maybe the Kombuster's test shows me that because I didnt have installed PhysX.

One last question: Do u think I probly killed my GPU or something like that testing alot? It reached 70º max. But usually it works in games at 63º max.

Okay so my GPU is fine, right? One last question about this... You didn't recommend me to test the gpu, okay but I wanted to OC my GPU a little bit (without touching the voltage), its 700/1000 and I want to OC to 850/1250 so it works like a 5870.

How can I test the stability of the gpu with 3DMark if you don't recommend me to use these programs anymore? There is another way?

greetings!
