Graphic card drivers are not working

After I updated the graphic card drivers on my laptop (Asus k50ij) the screen resolution went from 1280x1024 to 1024x768 and both graphic drivers (mobile intel 4 express family chipset and VGA compatible) had the little yellow triangle with the exclamation mark in the device manager)
Also I can't play any game because the game gets really really slow and with awful graphics

I've tried manually install them again.
I've installed slimdrivers to do so and nothing worked.

When I go to the resources of the drivers it says that it's not taking any resources because the driver has a problem, although I'm not entirely sure if the problem is with the drivers with any compatibility issue or something else because my sister has a similar laptop and it's working fine (but mine is windows vista and hers is windows 7)

Can you help me?
I've tried everything but nothing seems to work

Your drivers must come from the SUPPORT SITE for your exact laptop, for your GPU, and also be the proper Windows version (in some cases previous Windows version drivers may work).

Usually you can't install drivers direct from AMD/NVidia/Intel unless you've reinstalled a version of Windows not designed for your laptop. Laptop manufactures often alter drivers to work with changes they've made so you can have issues with drivers not made by them.

So,
1. Download the latest PROPER DRIVERS (if you have not done so)
2. DELETE the current drivers and reboot
3. Install the proper drivers.

Yes I did install the drivers and then I went to the device manager and activated them, but still they didnt work
Yes I got them from Asus website. I got the exe file and then just ran it

thanks for the response
I got some issues doing that.
First I uninstalled the drivers and rebooted the computer. After it turns on it tries to install the drivers automatically (still fails). So then I tried to installed them with the exe from the asus website and a pop up poped saying 'could not write value to key' so I had to cancel the installation.

Should I installed them manually, if Yes, whats the best way to do so?

They are the right ones, I searched ASUS K50IJ drivers the went to asus website of my laptop, selected vista-32bit and dowloaded the VGA driver.
I think the 'could not write value to key' problem is about insuficient permissions. going to solve it right now and try again... I'll give u an update later

Ok, I've done that with one of the driver (VGA compatible), but I can't find the other one. In the device manager it just says 'video driver', so I don't have much information on what is the drivers name.

Also when I go to the ASUS website on my laptop drivers there are 2 VGA drivers on the windows 7 page, but only 1 VGA driver on the vista page.

Any Idea how can I find the remaining driver (video driver) (which I think is the mobile intel express family chipset)?

Also after I reboot the laptop the drivers automatically install still having problems and not working fine. Can that be an issue to me?

Vista 32 bit
On the device manager there are two graphic card drivers, they have both yellow triangles with a warning sign so I have to uninstall both.

I successfully installed the basic VGA driver but when I installed the other one both got back to the yellow triangle with exclamation mark

When I run the installer (of the drivers) there is a permission issue, but I have full permission on that key. The problem can be there, I dont know what to do
Or the problem is the above or is that I can't find the right driver.

What do I do?

There is only one driver, so I don't know what you mean. I followed the links to your laptop and 32-bit Vista and there was only ONE version:

Version V7.15.10.1666

I noticed there was a DELAY switching to the Vista 32-bit list. Perhaps you downloaded the Windows 7 drivers.

I dont understand, the drivers defaults to win 7?
so they haven't done the vista 32 bit drivers ? the computer has more than 4 years, I don't believe they are working on it.

Isn't there another way?

yes, I know. I downloaded the vista 32 bit driver, but there is only 1 video drive. My computer has 2

I don't understand what you mean. I only see an indication that you have an Intel GPU. That only requires one video driver. I saw two video drivers listed under Windows 7 with different headings (one called "VGA") but they were actually the same driver just one was slightly newer.

im going to try to be clearer sorry

My computer is vista 32 bit

In the device manager in the video card section there are 2 drivers

In the Asus website for my laptops drivers in vista 32 bit there is only one driver and when I install it, only one gets fixed in the device manager, the other one continues having problems

I'm considering installing windows 7, will it 'reset' my computer and reinstall all the drivers when I do it?
