Hey guys,

I currently have a MSI R7870 TF III running on an ASRock Z77 Extreme6.

Recently I've noticed that I've stopped downloading through Bittorrents to save on electricity. So, what I've thought of doing is to dual boot "Puppy Linux" and to download on that. Also, while I run Puppy Linux, I'd like to disable the 7870 and run onboard graphics with my monitor connected through VGA.

Is this possible?

Cheers!

Solution
the radeon 7000 series pretty much dont consume any power at all when not gaming
their power draw goes very low. so you dont need to disable anything
