Graphic card fan control without monitoring?

Hello,
I have GTX1080
Using MSI Afterburner for a long time, mostly to set a custom fan carve for the GPU.
Is there any script or command line to ONLY change fan duty cycle without any monitoring?
I really miss Maxwell BIOS editor for my Pascal!

You can set a custom profile for the fan, and the check the run at start and never have to see it again, but the fan profile should stick.

I know I can, but I want to uninstall MSI Afterburner.

hmmm, I am not too sure what else to say, on the extreme end you could flash a custom bios (not a good idea) but if you never see MSI afterburner again, is it really a problem?

No BIOS editor is available for Pascal GPUs, I am not gonna flash from other card brands.
MSI Afterburner(and RTSS) load the system and adds some latency in some CPU intensive games

I mean MSI afterburner does indeed use some power, but the only time I see it doing so is when I am benching my CPU. I am honestly unsure of what else you could do.
