Graphic card fan speed on max

I have a Galaxy GTS 250 graphic card,
And i m worried abt the cards temp,
it ideals @ 65, and 85 @ full load,
so what i wanted to know is if i get the fan speed up to 90% constant,
will that damage the fan or the card ??

85C at full load is PERFECTLY acceptable. 65C at idle is a little high, but I wouldn't be concerned about it.

Is it the OEM cooler or some Galaxy installed cooler? Could be a crappy design. You can always remove the cooler, clean, and reapply paste.

Just don't get the fan speed up to 100%, it can shortened it's lifespan...
Yup, the temps above are normal except 65'C at idle...
Go as Jay said, clean and re-apply the thermal paste and see if that make changes...

I mostly play GTA4 and when the temp touches 85 i get small lag in the game, and if i get the fan speed up till 95 the temp never goes above 80,
which is fine 4 me in the game as well !!,
so in 95 constant fan speed good ??
