Graphic Card for 32'' LCD

I bought a 32"LCD Tv for my xbox and i was thinking if i could use it for my PC too. A friend told me that i'll need a very high priced card for it. I wanted to ask that what is the best card if i use that 32" LCD as a monitor for my PC. Also will Radeon R7 260x support it ? if not please tell me a suitable card for the job. Also i want to use it for Gaming if you need to know that.
My PC specs are
i3 2.93Ghz
8GB ram
Radeon r7 260x

The worst thing is that you are gaming on a 720p TV. That is kind of like gaming on a 600p monitor. Not to mention the fact that the TV probably has a 30 ms+ response time. TV's have far lower quality pixels than a monitor and to get them to fit on that 32" screen they are blown up to be larger reducing the quality more.
