Graphic card for ASUS A8M2N-LA motherboard questions

Jul 23, 2009
well i have a A8M2N-LA motherboard and i've already upgraded my CPU to 5200+ 2.7gHz and 4G of rams and both work great, and now i'm deciding to get a graphic card, but idk if my computer can handle the card

this is the card

this is the power supply that i wanted to get

i mean i'm just wondering if anyone know or heard about this card not working my motherboard please tell me, cause i have a painful experience with my CPU lol

or anyone can suggest a good graphic card to me, the max i can spend is probably up to 80

the power supply and gpuy you picked out will work fine with your mobo. The only thing you need to worry about is the physical space you have for both the psu and the card itself. The reason you had issues with the cpu is because the board only supports up to a 5000+ so to get a 5200+ to work you would have to oc and that can be a pain in the a$$ sometimes good luck with your new setup

lol the 5200 works find and the one i bought originally is a 7750 and stupid ass me didn't know 7750 is not supported and now i just gotta return it

so you mean the graphic card would work on my comp?
The 4670 will be good for your system. Actually, it will probably be slightly held back by your CPU at its stock speed. I'm not to big on that PSU you picked though. I suppose it should be fine with just a single 4670, but Rosewill PSUs aren't of the best quality or stability. You may want to spend a little more and go with a higher quality PSU like

FSP Group Blue Storm II 500W $59.99

CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W $59.99

Antec earthwatts EA430 430W $49.49

FSP Group FSP400-60GLN(80) 400W $49.99

Well, the Earthwatts is probably superior to that corsair. I'm amazed it's so cheap now really. The FSP Blue Storm is a good quality power supply that can supply enough juice for when you want to upgrade your system to something a little more power hungry, but admittedly it's not as cool or efficient as some of the newer higher tier PSUs such as the Antec Earthwatts. On the other hand it's pretty darn hard to beat at the price :D.
Yes, that setup will work just fine.

Please, please, get a different PSU though.
Rosewill is a junk brand that overrates their parts and love to fail.
Look into a 380w+ Corsair, Seasonic, PCP&C or Antec Earthwatts PSU.
The above Antec 430w and Corsair 400w PSU's would be great choices for you.

Also, other more powerful cards to look at in the $80 range:
Zotac 9800GT: $84.99 after $15 MIR
MSI 4830: $75.99 after $10 MIR
HIS IceQ 4850: $80 after $20 MIR

All of these cards are a significant upgrade to a 4670 and are well worth the extra cash.
Yeah, it might be a somewhat tight fit but it is designed to have a card next to the RAM slots.
Just install the memory first and you will be just fine.
Even if you need to change the RAM latter, it can be done with the GPU in place.
Just remove (or insert) the DIMM at an angle to the motherboard.
