Friends,

I am thinking of replacing my GTS 450 from Zotac with new MSI or Sappire HD 6850 graphic card. Please advice whether it will be good idea to replace GTS 450 and can my PSU and cabinet handle HD 6850 or not.

I have all modern games smoothly MW 2, BF C 2, crysis 2, ME 2 on this card. No heat problem on this card. Temp at high is 68 degree centi.
by putting 6850, I think my games will improve 25-30 per cent. thats why i was thinking of changing it.
My phenom 550 is also working fine.

I just want to know that whether my case and PSU can handle HD 6850 or not if I upgrade.
and second things which company HD 6850 graphic card is of small size .

you are playing games that dont run well on dual core, crysis 2 and COD run best on quad core, you would be better off upgrading your CPU. Trust me, i know, i notice after upgrading from a lesser card, 8800gts, to a 6850, some games have no improvement because dual core is not enough anymore.

so which quad core will be best for my current motherboard in place of Phenom 550.

if your mobo supports am3 (looks like it does if u have a 550), get any budget amd quad core. I got an phenom ii 840 (really just a rebranded athlon clocked 200mhz higher, no L3 cache) despite that it performs extremely well for the price you pay, and with my 6870 (which i think you should get anyway, they are hardly more expensive these days) i can run warhead at 1080p max settings 16xaf, 8xaa at very playable fps.

If you can dish out more, go for a black edition phenom ii, as they can be overclocked very easily.
