Hi guys, my new computer will be getting delivered soon however I have a monitor with only an hdmi connection, I was wondering if anyone could help? my motherboard is the x99 deluxe and the graphics card is the Nvidia quadro k2000, I am still stuck which cable to get for the graphics card, either the display port to hdmi (which transfers audio) or Dvi-dl to hdmi. Can I use either audio? I know if I use the motherboard audio it will be through headphones or USB speakers etc, however which is best? And would I put strain on my graphics card using the audio on gpu as I will be doing rendering and such in 3ds max? Also I have seen display port to hdmi cable but also seen a converter? would I need converter if a all in one cable will do the trick? Here is two examples:

Why get a converter when a cable on it's own will do the job?

Cheers for any help or advice guys

Solution
I like Displayport to HDMI. no you just have to download the motherboard audio driver form the manufacturers site and plug the wire into the audio jack. and your good 2 go.

So would you suggest dvi dl to hdmi, or display-port to hdmi? And do you change your audio output settings to the motherboard?

Regarding the cable, should I get a displayport to hdmi converter? Or a displayport to hdmi cable like the ones in my first question? And what are the pros and cons?
