I have gigabyte g41mt-s2p motherboard. In direct x tool it shows that the pc has a intel g41 express chipset graphic card. Is g41 a graphic card

Solution
G41 is indeed an integrated graphics "card" (only a single chip on the motherboard, in your case). It is not in your CPU, it is a part of the motherboard chipset. And it is a quite bad unit, even using Windows is unacceptable, has blurry image and 3D performance is downright awful. I know because I owned this motherboard before :)

If it is your only display device at the moment, get a discrete GPU - quite frankly, even the worst and the cheapest one you can get will do a far better job.

Intel G41 is a graphics chip built in your CPU. Most commonly it's known as on-board graphics or integrated graphics.

For example, in my Skylake build (full specs in my sig), i have i5-6600K CPU that has Intel HD530 graphics chip inside it. If i wouldn't have dedicated GPU, my system would use the HD530 graphics chip. But since i have a dedicated GPU (MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 3G), the CPU on-board graphics chip is automatically disabled and my system uses the dedicated GPU.
